Your questions, clearly answered
Practical answers for setting up your profile, meeting people, messaging and staying in control of your account.
01How do I change my display name?Account and profile
Open My profile, choose Edit profile, change your name and save. You can change it directly without submitting a request first.
02How do I add or change my photo?Account and profile
In Edit profile, choose a photo and submit it for review if prompted. Use an image that represents you and that you have permission to publish.
03How can I make my profile easier to discover?Account and profile
Complete the details that describe you, add a clear photo and review your discovery preferences. You can also adjust visibility options in your profile or settings.
04How can I delete my account and personal data?Account and profile
Check the account deletion options in your settings. If the action fails or you need help, email support using the link below and mention the email address connected to your account.
05Why don’t suggested profiles always match my preferences?Meeting people
Suggestions use your preferences and the information available, but they are guidance rather than a guarantee. Review your discovery criteria and broaden them if you want to see more profiles.
06Does the distance shown reveal my exact address?Meeting people
No. Distance is approximate and does not show your exact address. Still, avoid sharing information publicly that could identify your precise location.
07What does the verified profile badge mean?Meeting people
It means the profile passed HeartAtlas’s applicable internal checks. It is not an official identity document and does not, by itself, guarantee a member’s behavior.
08How do I translate a message?Messages
In a conversation, use the Translate action attached to the message. Translation can help you understand the text; ask the sender to clarify anything ambiguous.
09Why doesn’t a message show as sent or read?Messages
Check your connection and reopen the conversation. The status may take a short time to update. If it continues, tell support roughly when it happened and which conversation was affected, without sharing unnecessary private content.
10How do I block or report a member?Messages
Open their profile or the conversation menu and choose the block or report option. Describe what happened clearly; you do not need to contact the member if that feels uncomfortable.
11I can’t sign in. What should I try?Safety and help
Check that you are using the right sign-in method and the email linked to your account. For email sign-in, use password recovery. If you registered with an external provider, use the same sign-in button.
12What is a HeartAtlas activity?Meeting people
An activity is an interactive space where members can meet around a game, quiz or another format offered on HeartAtlas. Visit Activities to see which spaces are available and their conditions.
13How do I start an activity?Meeting people
Sign in, open Activities and choose the create option if it is available. Select a format, fill in the requested options and confirm. Creation may depend on service availability or applicable rules.
14How do I join an activity?Meeting people
Open Activities, browse the spaces you can access and choose one that suits you. Check its format, language and any conditions before joining.
15How do I take part in a speed dating session?Meeting people
Open Speed dating, choose a session with registration open and sign up after checking your matching preferences. Then check its status and time under your registrations; only confirmed participants can join the session.
16Is my personal data protected?Safety and help
HeartAtlas explains how it handles your data in its Privacy Policy and Privacy Center. There you can review available options, including ways to manage some information or request account deletion. Avoid posting contact details or sensitive information in your profile or messages.
17What should I include when contacting support?Safety and help
Email support@heartatlas.app with the steps you took, what you expected and the exact error message. Include your profile name and a screenshot if useful; never send your password or payment details.
